The Uttar Purbanchal Janajati Seva Samity is registered under Societies Registration Act-XXI of 1860, with its number 213 of 1989-90, registered office at Haflong, sub-office and administrative office in Guwahati. The Samity has its branches in Teipura, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.
A silent but relentless effort of upliftment of the Janajatis in the North East was started around 30 years ago and in course of time this movement took a from of in the name of Uttar Purbanchal Janajati Seva Samity. The purpose of the Uttar Purbanchal Janajati Seva Samity is to bring about awareness and sense of pride in the mind of all Janajatis living in this beautiful North East region of this great country for their indigenous faith,tradition, art, culture and customs by creating with the perennial flow of unity in diversity.
